Many of the problems in the world are hard to understand. Yet, Alliance 29:11 knows and demonstrates that simple efforts, love, and consistency can go a very long way in addressing complex problems. The Dominican Republic has long been known for beautiful resorts, but also is a country that has enormous poverty, child abandonment, and abduction/trafficking issues. Recently, it has been overshadowed by Haiti; its neighbor to the west and only shared border. Due to such problems in the ravaged western part of the island, many have filtered over the border into DR, causing further issues.
All of this is difficult to understand. Thankfully, Alliance 29:11 has a plan to meet immediate needs, care for the orphans and poor of the DR, and create an environment that builds lasting impact for change in the Caribbean. Alliance 29:11 understands that this cannot be done through just one organization (part of the reason we like them so much…they know they are not “the answer”), so they are partnering with several to engage the dynamic needs of the country.
